Beyond Fabergé Book Review

Beyond Fabergé - A Book Review

Traveling abroad to visit the magnificent collections of the Imperial court has not been an option in the last year thanks to Covid-19. Thankfully, there are marvelous books that can help us pass the time. One such book, Beyond Fabergé was written by a friend of mine.

Marie Betteley asked me to write a book review of her recently published book and, given she is a leading expert in Russian Imperial decorative arts and jewelry, I happily agreed!

Having travelled with my good friend to St. Petersburg and Paris, I knew her book would be fascinating and well-researched. As it turns out, it far exceeded my expectations in recounting the lives of lesser known designers of the Imperial court.

I am delighted to share that my book review was published today by GIA. And if you'd like to purchase Marie's lovely book and explore the lives of these work masters in detail, visit Marie's website or find it on Amazon

Tune in on May 7, 2021 at 2pm PST for my Instagram Live chat with Marie when we discuss the remarkable ruby and diamond parure by Carl Evard Bolin featured in her book. Subscribe to my channel @roseyskyesf for details.
